My childhood carry out hasn 't changed, the food is still reasonably priced, fast and so good. The perfect comfort food. Don 't forget to order a side of D.C. 's specialty, mumbo sauce and a half&half!(lemonade ice tea mix (excuse the first pic, I ate most of the fries before even thinking of taking a picture View all feedback.
My favorite childhood takeout spot hasn't changed a bit! The food remains affordable, quick, and absolutely delicious—truly the perfect comfort food. Be sure to order a side of D.C.'s signature mumbo sauce and a half & half (a mix of lemonade and iced tea)! (Sorry about the first picture; I devoured most of the fries before I remembered to snap a photo!)
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember! I moved to DC when I was just 2 years old, and now at 16, it’s still one of my favorite places! The owners are incredibly friendly, and the food is fantastic! I absolutely love it here and I would always recommend trying their dishes!
I've been going to this restaurant for 5 to 8 years, and I've only had one bad experience with an order, but they quickly resolved it and even gave me some extras. The staff is excellent with customers, and the food is consistently fresh and prepared promptly. If you're ever in the uptown area, I highly recommend taking a 5 to 10-minute trip to grab a sub or some wings. Their mambo sauce is excellent compared to other takeout places. The young lady at the counter speaks English very well and is a pleasure to talk to. The prices are typical for a city takeout, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Whenever I'm in uptown, this is the only takeout I choose since Eddie's has turned into a bar.
I like this restaurant! They give high class food, their menu is varied, The chief cook in that spot is a real pro, I enjoy a lot eating all their food. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the visitors is efficient. I often eat in this place and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend it to all.
Food is great but they do close at 10:30pm not 11pm. You also must try the vegetable dumplings. I first tried the dumplings in NY at a catered NBA game. Took me 8 months to finally find them again. All smiles.
