Great sweet spot to seat in or outside. The venue was well lit and I love the trendy branded color. A very nice setup of both seating areas. The attendant was nice and provided timely service. The danish and chocolate chip cookie were fresh, soft, and tasty. View all feedback.
What Freida Koch doesn't like about Au Bon Pain:
The food selection was nonexistent, and the customer service was poor and unwelcoming. Given the high prices, I expected better quality food, which was only average. I was particularly disappointed that there were no plain bagels available in the morning. View all feedback.
Quick stop to get iced French roast coffee and a croissant for breakfast. Friendly staff to help me since this was my first time at the store. Loved the self serve and one staff even walked me over to get some milk for my coffee!

Can't complain, sandwich was very good, service as well. Also it is open on Sunday morning which is a good thing.
Visited this place sometime last week of December, between 9am and 10am. The place have ample space, tables, and stand-in area. Customer Service: The staff looks friendly, and they are nice, nothing wrong with the team Food: We ordered their soup and half-sandwich menu item. We like the sandwich and soup. We have tried Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Florentine and Chicken Vegetable Soup. All 3 were superb, very hearty, tasty and delicious. The same goes for the sandwich, the bread tastes great and fresh. They also offer coffee which is freshly made. Place: Ample space for 20 people . Several tables are spread around the area, not too noisy, and clean. It is also bright, have enough natural light, and looks nice. They are in great location, I like it, very easy to visit by foot or other means. Price: For the serving size and for the taste compared to other food shops in the area, it's reasonable and affordable. I understand that it's DC but I paid about $8 for each soup and it's a fair price. Planning to go back again to this shop!
I wanted to use this coupon I had so I ordered a Turkey Club on a croissant minus the tomato, a large soup of Turkey Kale with Rice (it is their best soup and I hadn't had it in years-this location was the only 1 that had it which is why I chose to go here) and a medium Strawberry Lemonade. My coupon was for $5 off $15 or more so I ordered online and was set to go pick it up. Parking around there is horrible so after a few attempts driving around I found a spot. I went inside and was told that they didn't have the Turkey Kale soup and they offered me another soup. Imagine my disappointment because that was the main reason I even chose to get Au Bon Pain today, so this now affected my order because I didn't want to substitute it for anything else. I now wanted a refund for it and the lemonade because now the coupon is useless. The guy in the store said that I would have to call the customer service number to request a refund for it (which I did while I was there). I told the guy in store that I only wanted the sandwich but he let me keep the lemonade for free and I thanked him. I was just really looking forward to that Turkey Kale soup and I did receive the refund via an email notification later that day.
