I typically don't take photos of my meals because I find it to be annoying, but jônt is an exception. The entire dining experience, from start to finish, was exceptional. The service was top-notch and the food was delicious. The tasting menu I tried had a wonderful Asian fusion flair. A unique aspect of the restaurant is that dessert is served in a cozy and comfortable area separate from the main dining area. Despite the loud music, which was my only complaint, I struggled to find anything else to dislike about jônt. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with friendly staff and fantastic food. Definitely worth the splurge.

Dining here is quite the experience. The experience is intimate and feels like you are eating in the kitchen of a pro chef. The food is prepared incredibly well and technically there are no faults here. The presentation is by far the best I have seen. So, why four stars?.First, the meal is rushed. Each plate is served right after another and there is little to no time to savior the experience. In fact, at times my guests' plate was removed before I was finished, or the plate removed while I was still chewing on the bite. The check is served during the last course, and people are arriving before the last course is served. I would rather they decrease two courses (as there are already too many to count) and really give the patron an opportunity to enjoy the experience.Second, the music is horrible. During desert they were playing some song that literally probably used the N word 20 times. The pairing of the music with that dining experience is something I don't personally care for. I felt it was like doing the wine pairing with Schlitz.Third, as stated above, the food is masterfully prepared and presented exquisitely. However, I feel like the food lacked true inspirational taste and nothing stood out. Having said that, nothing stood out because everything was technically well done not inspirationally done. Finally, I feel everything was a little too choregraphed and not heartfelt. The staff never really took time to speak with the customers, and chef de cuisine never once smiled, or introduced himself, and the hourglass on display definitely made it feel like a second seating on Broadway was coming in.Don't get me wrong, this place is exceptional and my complaints are nits. With a few attention to details, this place could be one of the most extraordinary restaurants and experiences a person could have in their life. If they adjusted and fixed these, I would absolutely go back.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have enjoyed the Chef’s Counter experience here a few times and each has been deliciously memorable. Looking back at all the dishes, some patterns emerge that define Chef Ryan’s vision for Jont and his unique perspective on fine dining. First, he has a few core proteins he likes to use to serve as the backbone of the overall experience – waygu beef, caviar, and duck. It’s a strong protein trio as it includes some of the most refined elements from land, sea, and air. From this initial framework, he adds nuanced flavors from seasonal ingredients and uses both advanced cooking and playful plating techniques to create haute cuisine that is delicious as it is artistic. Second, he doesn’t think of dessert as an afterthought. Most high-end restaurants get this wrong. Either they provide too few options or the options they do provide lack the imagination and finesse of the main entrees. At Jont, Chef Ryan and his team use dessert the same way a writer uses an exclamation point to punctuate and emphasize an overall sentiment – You’re going to remember this! Third, he understands how all the details matter from the overall layout of the counter and kitchen, to the exquisite glassware/flatware, and the overall impeccable food service. It’s clear that Chef Ryan and his team have created something special here at Jont and are deserving of their two Michelin stars. If you’re lucky enough to dine here be sure to ask the staff about the story of the White Rabbit.
