The butter croissants boasted delicate layers that were perhaps a bit too tender; they felt as if they would crumble with just a gentle touch, which made them seem less flavorful. Alongside the renowned French pastries (you won't find any muffins or scones here), L'Expérience Paris also offers a variety of French food products in Seattle, including wines, chocolates, teas, jams, and more. Overall, it’s hard not to appreciate the thought that goes into each pastry at L'Expérience Paris, from the delicate flavors to the impeccable presentation.
I'm not really a foodie, but this place has some of the best pastries I've ever tasted. The little cheesecakes are amazing! It has recently become the weekly coffee spot for my fiancée and me. I will say that a few times I've had coffee here, it wasn't great, which is a shame considering they have the stylish La Marzocco machine and quality beans.
Today, I decided to try the Pain au Chocolat, or chocolatine as I remember from my childhood summer trips to the south of France, from one of the highest-rated bakeries in Mercer Island. I’m happy to report that this pastry truly delighted my taste buds. It was beautifully flaky, and I could taste the rich butter in every bite. The filling was exceptional; the chocolate wasn't overly sweet, just perfect, melting in my mouth with each bite. The entire experience was fantastic—flawless, in fact. I highly recommend it. As for the café's atmosphere, I didn't feel tempted to linger, but it was clean and filled with happy customers.
