Reviews - Varias
Reviews summary
Nestled in the picturesque Stanthorpe region, this restaurant offers a blend of delightful ambiance and culinary experiences. Diners rave about the stunning views, attentive service, and cozy decor that includes a fireplace. While the wine pairings, particularly the house wines crafted by local students, receive high praise, opinions vary on the food. Some dishes, like the golden fried taleggio and various starters, impress, while others fall short of expectations, particularly concerning quality relative to price. Despite mixed food reviews, the overall atmosphere and dedication to local ingredients make this restaurant a worthy destination for food and wine enthusiasts.

What Anonym dislikes about Varias:
As part of Filippos wine tour we enjoyed an amazing meal with matched wines. It was disappointing that we did not have. A written description of what we were eating and drinking. This meant we can’t revisit to purchase our preferences. View all feedback.

The service, atmosphere, and food presentation were outstanding. Varias is affiliated with the Queensland College of Wine Tourism and highlights local produce and wines. You can find the menu on their website.
Quality food and great service at a super reasonable price! The cauliflower bites (with blue cheese mayo dipping), kangaroo steak and the cheeseburgers are truly outstanding and one of the best we’ve ever had. Very impressed with the whole experience. The restaurant, being run and managed by QCWT staff and students, is pretty much in the same league as many fine dining restaurants, which would’ve charged twice or 3 times as much!
Every time we go to Stanthorpe, dining at Varias is a must, so make sure to book in advance! The new menu is fantastic—I highly recommend the kangaroo, which is a perfect 10/10, as well as the duck. Pair your meal with the Banca Ridge sparkling red, and consider taking home a bottle or two. Cheers to the chef and the team!

Coming from NYC, where chefs fight each other to offer the best Sunday brunch, this beautiful spot can easily compete directly in front of Stanthorpe. It is located in...
Beautiful place, kitchen staff are to be trained out of head n sous cook. great eating, good portions. few smaller technical errors, but should not distract this location, since one must visit the granite band.
Great atmosphere. Great food. Great wine. What more could you ask for! We do an annual lunch here and everywhere we walk away more than satisfied with the food.
If there is a better quality restaurant in regional Queensland I'll be very surprised. Sensational food, served by young hospitality trainees who do all they can to make your day. Great value wines made by the Queensland College of Wine Tourism. Warm, inviting and excellent value!
The service was friendly and efficient, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant has a casual vibe with indoor seating and convenient on-site parking. The prices are quite reasonable, and there's a good variety of Banca wines available for purchase as well. Overall, it was a lovely experience for both lunch and dinner.
