Ming Kee - Warwick
Ming Kee
Description
Ming Lee has garnered a loyal following for its generous portions and flavorful dishes, often praised for items like their house curry and chili salt wings. However, recent reviews highlight a troubling decline in service quality following new ownership. Customers report delays in food delivery, incorrect orders, and unhelpful staff, particularly during peak hours. While some long-time patrons continue to cherish the restaurant for its quality meals, others express disappointment, vowing not to return. As the restaurant navigates this pivotal period, the contrast in experiences underscores a growing divide in customer satisfaction.

Called in an order for delivery. Thankfully we agreed to pay cash on arrival. We were told that we would have our order within an hour. After 55 minutes (9.10pm) we call Ed the restaurant only to be told they closed at 9.30 they cut the call. Called back to be informed order is on the way. 10.10pm still no order. Never again.
Very impressed with the quality of service and the food was fantastic. We have had a takeaway from here the last 2 weeks and food was excellent both times
I have been a customer of the Ming kee for a very long time. Over 30 years. I have never had a bad experience from them. The portions are very generous, especially the chicken and beef dishes. They cook the food just how I like it and the staff are always very lovely. Not sure why so many have left negative reviews.
We ordered food and were told it would take 1 to 1.5 hours. We thought they must be busy. After waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes, we called and were told the food was on its way. After 2.5 hours, we called again and were laughed at by the nice lady on the phone in response to our complaint. When the food finally arrived, it was terrible - cold curry, watery rice, and solid cold chips. We have been customers for years and this is not the first time they have let us down. Their service has declined and their attitude is appalling. We will not be returning, zero stars is generous.
I spent 75 pounds at this restaurant and was not satisfied. The lemon chicken tasted like a shallow-fried flip flop in a sour corn flour water. The special fried rice was like week-old boiled rice with unidentifiable pieces of meat and fake prawns. The chicken curry was nothing special, just a curry powder-based sauce covering partially defrosted chicken cubes that were still cold inside. My advice is to go somewhere else. Yuck.
