The chips are beautifully crunchy and the cod has a crispy batter. This restaurant is miles better than our local chip shops. It is definitely worth a visit.
I ordered from Lansdowne Fish Bar through Just Eat and waited over an hour for my delivery. I received a notification that my order had been delivered at 7:47 pm, even though it hadn't actually arrived. When I contacted the restaurant to inquire about my order, I was told that they could not provide me with delivery details and that once the food leaves their hands, it's no longer their responsibility. They were unable to contact the delivery driver and refused to refund me or deliver the correct order, leaving me out of pocket. The staff member I spoke to was rude and unprofessional. My wife also called to complain and was told there was no manager available. She was addressed inappropriately and accused of shouting and screaming, despite making a valid complaint. Giving a negative review in this situation is justified, as the customer service we received was unacceptable. I would advise others to avoid ordering from this establishment.
When we dine at this restaurant with guests from near and far, they often remark that the fish and chips are just as good as those by the seaside – but without the pesky seagulls! The portions are huge, and despite our appetites, we can only manage a small portion of fish each and share the chips.
Just turned up and order two haddock and two large chips for family of 4 to share....... still too many chips for us! Cooked freshly to order at about 7pm and beautiful crisp batter and great chips, cooked in obviously clean very hot oil but NOT greasy at all. Excellent. Whilst waiting I watched several kebab orders made up, although not for me, they looked fantastic and plenty of whatever is in there!!!!!
An excellent meal. The cod portions were huge a family portion of chips were enough to feed a family of 5. This is definitely our Chip Shop of choice in Leamington. Be aware though they take cash payments only given the current restrictions. Well done to all the staff
