Food was really good and the service was excellent in terms of speed and the way they describe exactly what was on each plate. The only tiny thing that could have been better was the wine list. It was a bit limited

On arrival we... read more Visited here several times and raved about how food it was to a few friends. We decided to visit for a meal together based on my recommendations. On arrival we visited Bar Catalan for a glass of wine and experienced service so unprofessional we left the establishment for another restaurant (Robbie's Amazing! . We were given a wine with some soft water but the soda water was stagnant. When we spoke to bar staff about it they tried it and agreed it tasted off and agreed to replace our wine with a other bottle of wine. No problems, mistakes happen. On koving to the restaurant the manager that had served us drinks followed us through and told us they were fully booked. We had already booked a table so were not worried. He then said he didn't want to serve us as if we were going to complain about the drinks we would probably complain about the food too. At this point I was shocked by his attitude, and suggested that we should all leave if this is the way they treated people. However a couple of our group tried to convince him to let us stay for some reason, at this point the lost his mind and told us to take our wine and leave. Needless to say he gave us a refund on the wine, and then we left for an amazing meal at Robbie's. Strange, arrogant place.

If you like turning up to a dinner reservation to find the establishment closed with no call, note outside or message on their social media then I can't recomme... read more If you like turning up to a dinner reservation to find the establishment closed with no call, note outside or message on their social media then I can't recommend Bar Catalan highly enough.The experience of walking around Warwick in the rain trying to find somewhere else to eat isn't something I'd have thought of on my own. If similar care and attention is shown to the food then maybe it's for the best that we didn't eat there...
