Great small town restaurant with great service food and atmosphere

Lovely family owned restaurant. The food was delicious (the fried green tomatoes were so good) and everyone was very friendly. Lots to choose from on the menu. Portions were good and prices reasonable. We visited here while on vacation because of a recommendation and loved it so much we went back for a second time.

We always visit Jewell’s when we are in Carrollton, and now that 42 is totally repaired it is a quick and easy drive. I am glad they were able to ride out all that road construction. One of us had the hot brown and the other the meatloaf. Both excellent. Portions are large as well. We were seated quickly and ordering was easy at the counter. Our hot meals came out in a reasonable time. Our server was efficient and got our refills without us having to ask; we used the international symbol for refills of glass at the table edge. We have yet to be disappointed by anything we’ve ordered so rest assured if you see some that looks good it WILL be good. Short of expanding to Carrollton, Jewell’s is everything you need in a down home restaurant.

This place goes downhill everytime I eat here smh , my family I eat here every Friday (we used to eat here multiple times a week) everytime the food is worse than the week before. This time my parents fish was way over cooked their baked potatoes were hard black , I got the meatloaf instead of bourbon barbecue sauce it had nasty ketchup all over it

Food was delicious. Had the moist good meatloaf with carmalized red potatoes. The hotbrown is good too.
