Unpretentious coffee shop that offers good coffee with a lot of smiles, the outside garden area is dog friendly. Fit for purpose!

A quick coffee and cake stop before heading to the movies around the corner. Heard the stories, read the reviews so decided to see what all the fuss was about. Without doubt very good coffee.........however after witnessing the barista level off the grounds with his index finger and then wipe his finger on a cleaning rag left me a little perplexed on hygiene standards. If you are going to have a machine in full view of the public then a little cleanliness care should be warranted, I think anyway. I had a very nice orange/almond cake to go with my coffee, a little dollop of whipped cream would have been nice with it but I'm getting fussy now. Service is very friendly, polite and speedy, not problems here at all. Menu looked good too, maybe next time I'll order from this with a cup of tea?
