Don't make this your first choice very embarrassing for waiting staff waited 1 1/2 hours for our meal still didn't come got our money back and left along with about 20 other patrons..... stop serving if your that busy!! View all feedback.
This pub has been recently renovated and I would never had considered going there on previous visits to Warrnambool. Went ther for lunch and the food was Devine. Great selection of Food and Beer with great service. They have a great outdoor courtyard which is smoke free believe it or not. About time places started doing this. Courtyard has a retractable roof and plenty of heating. Great venue and look forward to going back for a real session with a group of friends.
This is said to be the oldest continuously licenced premises in Australia but once through the door there is very little history. The food is heavy and not very imaginative. My beef and guinness pie (not a good idea I think) wasn't properly heated through and the pastry not adequately cooked. The chips were half cold. Raucous atmosphere. In the end dinner there costs us not much less than the dinner we had the previous evening in a nearby restaurant. Not worth it.

The curries on the night we attended were superior to the Indian food offerered by any other Indian restaurant in Warnambool. The service was OUTSTANDING, friendly, patient and cheerful. The restaurant and washroom facilities were immaculately clean. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Curry Night at the Cally. We will be back.

The owners of the Cally I believe have been recognised for the high quality of the renovation of this building....a building well over 100 years old, however, sensitive modern additions have been made in the form of a covered, heated 'beer garden', and the bar, dining and lounge areas retain their historical feel whilst modern furnishings and fittings have been included. My wife and I have eaten here on five occasions now because the food is of good quality and quantity...I usually order a scotch fillet steak and my wife is enamoured with the chicken parma. On my last visit, my medium rare steak experienced a cooking oversight in the kitchen and arrived at my table well overcooked....I referred this to the friendly staff, who were in agreement, and my dish was replaced with a perfectly cooked medium rare steak. I was also offered a complimentary glass of wine. I believe that errors can be made and commend this establishment on the quality of service offered. This was the only meal that I have experienced any disappointment with at this hotel....all others I would categorise as 'good' to 'very good'. Don't just take my word for it...give it a 'go' . I just might eat there again tonight.
