My partner called up and th... read more Emerald Chinese on Loushers Lane waited a lot longer than they told us so added 2 free cans of drink. They then got our order wrong. My partner called up and the girl admitted it was her mistake and said the correct dish would be sent free of charge. She came back and said sorry the manager said no you have to pay the difference, fair enough, they also want the fried rice back. Correct dish just delivered, more money than they said over the phone , took the 2 free drinks back as well as the wrong dish they sent and didn't give my partner his change !!!

I have rated it 4 stars because I haven't had the chance to try a wider variety of their menu items to give a more accurate review. However, the salt and pepper chips and chicken are the best I have ever had, and I don't think I want to get them from anywhere else!

She was excellent on the phone and very professional - a real asset to the takeout business. It's always nice to have someone so friendly to talk to. The food was, as always, delicious. This is the only Chinese takeout place we use in Warrington.

However, in 2014, t... read more The Emerald used to be one of the top Chinese takeout spots in Warrington, receiving high ratings from both customers and health inspectors. However, in 2014, the quality of their food took a nosedive. During my recent visit, I ordered a chicken chow mein, prawn dumplings, and extra soft noodles. The dumplings were hard and had a floury texture, while the noodles in both dishes were stale and oddly cut into short lengths. It seemed like they were not fresh and possibly stored for a long time in a warming cabinet. The sauce seemed to be made with gravy mix granules and the vegetables were undercooked. This isn't the first time I've experienced poor quality food from The Emerald, and unfortunately, every time I give them another chance, the food quality seems to decline even further. I hope they can improve, but I don't plan on returning anytime soon.
