The service was excellent despite the absence of the manager during our visit. The food was delicious, with options like beet salad and lamb chops. The average price per person is around $40 to $50, and proper attire is required. The atmosphere is peaceful, with complimentary champagne provided for special occasions. While some reviews mention issues with service and ownership changes, overall the Manor House Restaurant seems like a charming spot worth visiting, especially for a celebration or romantic dinner.
We live nearby and are frequent customers at this restaurant. We have never had a bad experience here. The food and service are excellent. It can be a bit expensive for dining on weeknights, but we believe it is worth it.
My family and I went to Poplar Springs Manor House for brunch on Father's Day. The food was delicious and our waitress, Amy, was wonderful. I requested my order to be made spicy, and they had no issues accommodating my request. We will definitely be returning to Poplar Springs Manor House in the future.
The service at this restaurant was excellent. However, the manager was not present on Saturday when we visited. Despite the great waiter, many items were already sold out by 7pm. It took over 45 minutes for our food to be served. I tried to speak to the manager on duty, but she never came over. Even when she delivered our appetizers, she did not greet us. According to our waiter, she was the manager on duty. It seems that the restaurant has recently changed ownership, which was disappointing.
Went for a birthday and did the tasting menu without the wine pairings. Food was great and our waiter, Jonah, was fantastic. We were stuffed and wanted to take dessert home. Since Creme Brûlée doesn’t travel well, Jonah offered to substitute the dessert for something from the regular menu that could go home. Ordered a nice red from the menu and let it breathe while we had our first 2 courses. A wonderful evening overall!
We live nearby. We are regular and often visit. We never had an unpleasant experience. Food and service are first rate. Can be a bit pricy for the night of the week food, but we think it's worth it.
