have ate here a handful of times and everytime it's great! Chicken is always delicious and crispy, spring rolls full of flavor and crispy. Soups are all great as well. The staff are always pleasant as well and very kind/genuine. View all feedback.
What commonsense238 doesn't like about Li's Garden:
Ordered chicken fried rice...worst I've ever had. Small portion too. The chicken looked very off and was unedible and the rice and peas were bland. Pho #1 in Beech Grove is MUCH better, but wanted to try something different. Not good. Skip it. View all feedback.
Good food, not a lot of good Chinese places around anymore. This will be our Chinese takeout go-to for now on.
The food is not flavorful. At all. The chicken “fried” rice tasted buttery; not at all like fried rice. It also was very light in color. Didn’t look like fried rice though that was indeed what it was. Even soy sauce didn’t help it. The hunan beef also severely lacked flavor. The staff is very nice and were very accommodating with a special request. I was just left wishing the food had some flavor. Especially since I paid 60 for it. Neither of my kids liked it either.

Egg rolls have been cut in half but cost the same. They must be from a different vendor because the taste is totally different. Ordered the Hunan Shrimp noticed where you used to get six you now get five at same price. Deep fried shrimp have chgd for the better. The batter they dip the shrimp in is much better. Inflation strikes again with prices less food.
I've been on the search for a new go-to Chinese place, and decided to give this a try. My two favs are General Tsos and Boneless BBQ. Both were tasty! The rice is different than most Chinese places, but still good. General Tsos had some kick to it and was cooked well, juicy, etc. Boneless BBQ had a good flavor and was just a bit chewy, though not bad. I would definitely try then again!
