The selection of food options for lunch was an amazing variety of choices. The calamari appetizer was very good. Fresh pasta was made that very morning, and it was some of the best pasta I have ever had. The quantity of food was quite plentiful, and I had to take some home to eat for lunch the following day. Fun night and most of the food was excellent. Unfortunately the veal parmagiana was terribly over done and quite frankly never should have left the kitchen. That being said the calamari and salads were terrific. Wife's lasagna was very good as well. Despite the veal issue, I would definitely come back. Always great food, friendly professional service. We love this place! The area around the restaurant looks sketchy but don't let that deter you- it is a safe area to park and the restaurant is superb. Roadwork and housing across the street will soon be finished and will greatly improve the neighborhood appearance.
I have been to Iozzo's many times. I have had good service and great service. I will never return, nor will I ever recommend Iozzo's. I never make special requests because. The servers have zero f*cks to give, as well as front of house. The chef should open his own place.
The ambiance is great , kind of like a step back in time. The food is good, not great. Both the chicken and the shrimp that I had on the two occasions I was there were overcooked and dry. The scallop appetizer was very good, mushrooms not so much. All in all the food is fine if a bit haphazard.
Based on reviews, I thought this dinner would be great. I can't say anything but that the cheese garlic bread was good. I love Italian food but this was all so bland. I had the crab tortelli, tasted both chicken fettuccine alfredo and cheese ravioli. No real flavor at all and all sauces were different! Super disappointed. We all agreed that we will not be back. :
