Love this place. The manager (owner? makes amazing recommendations and humors me when I select bottles based on pretty labels or quirky names. Nice place to hit up for a summer stock up. Well organized and friendly staff. View all feedback.
What gmychajl doesn't like about Wine Central’s 10 Below:
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. A true family environment. The food quality varied and in my opinion Lukas is not a fine dining establishment. Arugala salad was excellent, I had the Pan seared shrimp and scallop for an entrée. This was obviously pre-prepared with rice and shrimp way overcooked and lacking in taste. Not freshly made. The seafood salad was excellent. My wife had the seafood crepe which was al... View all feedback.
Firstly, our waiter Viny didn’t smile once during the entire evening we encountered him. In fact, the whole staff seemed rather stoic, although the bussers appeared to be more cheerful. It came across as if they either didn’t want to be there or perhaps were dealing with personal issues. Additionally, the restaurant charges diners for the credit card processing fee, which I find unacceptable. It feels unfair to add on $7 to an already hefty bill of nearly $300 without providing excellent service. As for the food, the cowboy ribeye was just okay, and the onion rings tasted as if they might have come from the freezer. On a positive note, the ladies enjoyed their salads quite a bit. The entrees, sea bass and champagne seafood crepes, were satisfactory but nothing to rave about. The garlic shrimp appetizer didn’t reflect the traditional Portuguese style and was more Mediterranean instead; it was good, but not outstanding. Unfortunately, the lobster bisque was served lukewarm and the martini was less than cold. I remind myself that I may sound overly critical, but overall, I didn't find the value to be there. We decided to skip dessert and then waited over 10 minutes for the check. With so many other dining options available, I would recommend giving this place a miss.
The restaurant has an excellent selection of items, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by the behavior of one employee. This person, who was rather moody, seemed to prioritize a friend over the customers, ignoring several patrons in the process. Additionally, she frequently complained about the customers, which was quite disheartening. It's truly unfortunate to witness a wonderful business with such a great selection being affected by the actions of one individual.
We had been eagerly anticipating our anniversary dinner at this restaurant. We started with the calamari, which was just average for a seafood restaurant – we were hoping for something better. For our main courses, we each ordered a steak. When the steaks arrived, they were drenched in melted butter. I had to request paper napkins to help remove some of the excess oil. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish them because we both experienced severe heartburn afterward. The napkins ended up on my plate, and when the waiter checked on us, we mentioned the butter issue. He claimed it was normal, but I’ve been to many steakhouses, and it was a first for me. If you're considering a steakhouse for your meal, I would not recommend this place. Even hours later, I'm still dealing with heartburn.
Fantastic wine shop! I love the variety of selections, and Tara is incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend it!
The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly, creating a true family vibe. The quality of the food was inconsistent; in my opinion, Lukas doesn’t quite fit the fine dining label. The arugula salad was excellent, but for my main course, I had the pan-seared shrimp and scallops, which seemed pre-prepared. The rice and shrimp were overcooked and lacked flavor, clearly not freshly made. On a positive note, the seafood salad was excellent. My wife ordered the seafood crepe, which was also pre-prepared. Overall, we had a great time, and it's definitely worth a visit. We look forward to coming back soon.
