Bluey's Lakeside - WARNERS BAY

Fish and chips nice, well priced. Young staff competent and friendly, and apologetic. Food quite slow coming (over 30 minutes). The locals appear to phone ahead which might be clever. Nonetheless the food was good and the price was right.

As we have recently bought a house in this area we are trying out various local eateries. Tonight we tried Blueys for the first time and we will return.We used their Android app to place our order which was ready when my husband arrived to collect it. The fish portions were large and delicious (so the others tell me), the kids had fish cocktails which were larger than expected, they also enjoyed the calamari. My pieces of salt and pepper squid were tiny but delicious. The potato scallops were crisp, non-greasy and generous in size. The chips were fare and away some of the best we have had in years. They were thick, crisp on the outside and soft in the centre. We fed 4 adults and two children and had food left over from a $55 order - great value.

We enjoyed delicious fish and chips, wings, calamari, and scallops at this restaurant. It was a special treat for my wife and son, who have gluten allergies. The convenient location and helpful staff made us feel confident about dining here.

While the prices were a bit steep at $8, the quality of the food made it worth it. The restaurant itself is clean and well-lit, though somewhat bare in my opinion. However, as the business grows, I would expect the atmosphere to become more welcoming. Online ordering is available through their app, and they also offer delivery to local businesses.
