The reason I use the Rodeway when I am traveling to Connecticut for work is because Donna at the front desk is so amazing. She has the biggest smile when I walk into the lobby and more importantly she has my room ready and waiting. She is kind friendly and efficient. She makes every visit feel like home. Thank you Donna! What Freedom43914924306 doesn't like about 161 Bridge St Parking:
Complete dump No hot water, dirty floors, ceiling in bathroom falling in. Avoid this dump if at all possible. Other hotels in area are $20 more per night and nice and safe. Safety locks have been broken off room doors several times. Disgrace to Choice Hotels. View all feedback.
I booked an express deal on Priceline for 66 bucks a night. Hotel is located right off 91. Checking in was a breeze, but I knew right off that I wasn’t at the Ritz. I was apprehensive about the place, it did not look clean but ya know, it’s what you make it isn’t it? My room was clean but smelled like smoke. No problem. I jetted down to Big Y for some febreeze and a sunflower and my room brightened considerably. The restaurant is closed and they don’t have breakfast. The pool is absolutely a 10. It’s nine feet on the deep end and perfectly clean and not over chlorinated. Every single lounger is broken. Lol. I propped one’s back against the fence and was good to go. We had an absolute pool party there sat night. I think there was 40 people in the pool and I had my spectacular Bugani Bluetooth playing reggae all night. This is the kind of place where you can bring drinks and a cooler to the pool. We had cannonball contests and swam for hours. Everybody was respectful and kind. Nobody caused any beefs. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back in a heartbeat. I really liked that they had all the HBO channels so I could binge watch Game of thrones. The hotel staff were very kind and overworked I bet. Basketball hall of fame is 15 min away- went today. Berkshires are close too- spent a day there. Based on all factors I give the place 3 stars. Sometimes it’s nice to have freedom and not be restricted by over protection. Why can’t I have a cooler of beer at the pool? I had a great time.
THE MOST DISGUSTING hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The beds where filthy with huge stains. The walls had boogers all over and to top it off the beds had metal sharp bars sticking out! My son got hurt!!!!!
Unless you have no other options, I would avoid this 1-star hotel. Even though it is not that expensive, you would be better off sleeping in your car. The hotel needs a major renovation. The rooms and bathrooms are not that clean. We rented two rooms for one night. In one room a TV was smashed (to the credit of the hotel, we were offered a $30 deduction), and in another, the safety lock was broken, windows looked as if they had not been cleaned in months, and the toilet paper holder did not exist. At least the beds were relatively comfortable with clean sheets. The surrounding area seems sketchy. No breakfast is offered. AVOID.
Very run down and dirty. Trash and possible drug parafanial littered around building. Outside doors didnt lock. Smelled like mildew, smoke and weed. Horrible stained falling in ceilimg tiles. Rusted dior frames cable box falling out of wall. Cigarette burn holes in all the blankets torn bedspread. 1 pillow each even doubled it was flat. Stains on rugs dirty bathroom floors unknows substances on wall. Nothing like the pictures it honestly should be demolished. I felt like i was staying in an abandoned building where homeless and druggies live. We were only there to sleep so we stayed but got out of there as soon as we woke up. We kept our shoes on. It said free breakfast but we didnt dare stay to find out what it was or where it came from. Im surprised this place is able to still operate.
