The reason I use the Rodeway when I am traveling to Connecticut for work is because Donna at the front desk is so amazing. She has the biggest smile when I walk into the lobby and more importantly she has my room ready and waiting. She is kind friendly and efficient. She makes every visit feel like home. Thank you Donna! Complete dump No hot water, dirty floors, ceiling in bathroom falling in. Avoid this dump if at all possible. Other hotels in area are $20 more per night and nice and safe. Safety locks have been broken off room doors several times. Disgrace to Choice Hotels. View all feedback.
I've never been so grossed out by a hotel in my life, and I've stayed at some pretty seedy places. It was absolutely disgusting which is why it prompted to me to write one of the few reviews I've ever written. We chose this hotel for one night before our early flight, because it is close enough to the airport and the website said it had a shuttle to the airport. WRONG. There is no shuttle. The place was so gross that we ended up extending our car rental for another day just so we could stay out of the hotel as long as possible that evening until we were tired enough to fall asleep in the room. When we did return, my boyfriend turned on Forensic Files, and I made him turn it off because it was too realistic to the conditions we were in. We ended up sleeping in our clothes over the sheets and torn comforter. We had beautiful pastries we had left in the room while we were out that we couldn't eat because by the time we returned to the room, they tasted off since they had been left marinating in the stench. The entire place smelled like cigarettes, even though we had a non-smoking room. (I'm not even sure why any hotel would allow smoking at all this day and age. The carpets in our room were sticky with large dark stains all over it. Multiple outlet plates were falling off the wall. The towel rack was barely hanging onto the wall. The toilet paper rack was broken off of the wall. There were random smudges and smears on the walls. There were visible handprints on the headboard. There were random dents in the walls. The sheets were dirty and had what seemed to be lipstick and eye makeup on them. The door connecting to the other room had the handle broken off, and there was toilet paper stuck inside to block the hole. There was a blazer left in the closet. We could hear people yelling in argument at random times throughout the night. This is the first time in my life I've ever felt unsafe in a hotel.
THE MOST DISGUSTING hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The beds where filthy with huge stains. The walls had boogers all over and to top it off the beds had metal sharp bars sticking out! My son got hurt!!!!!
Unless you have no other options, I would avoid this 1-star hotel. Even though it is not that expensive, you would be better off sleeping in your car. The hotel needs a major renovation. The rooms and bathrooms are not that clean. We rented two rooms for one night. In one room a TV was smashed (to the credit of the hotel, we were offered a $30 deduction), and in another, the safety lock was broken, windows looked as if they had not been cleaned in months, and the toilet paper holder did not exist. At least the beds were relatively comfortable with clean sheets. The surrounding area seems sketchy. No breakfast is offered. AVOID.
Very run down and dirty. Trash and possible drug parafanial littered around building. Outside doors didnt lock. Smelled like mildew, smoke and weed. Horrible stained falling in ceilimg tiles. Rusted dior frames cable box falling out of wall. Cigarette burn holes in all the blankets torn bedspread. 1 pillow each even doubled it was flat. Stains on rugs dirty bathroom floors unknows substances on wall. Nothing like the pictures it honestly should be demolished. I felt like i was staying in an abandoned building where homeless and druggies live. We were only there to sleep so we stayed but got out of there as soon as we woke up. We kept our shoes on. It said free breakfast but we didnt dare stay to find out what it was or where it came from. Im surprised this place is able to still operate.
