Holy Cow Fine Indian Food - Wandsworth

Upon perusing the menu, my initial response was one of letdown, but I couldn't have been more mistaken. Every dish we selected was truly outstanding, as was the quality of service. The atmosphere was delightful, allowing for comfortable conversation.

I used an Uber Eats promotion and received a approximately 60% off discount. The food was delivered in just 40 minutes after placing the order! I ordered chicken biryani and lamb curry. The food was delicious, extremely hot, perfectly cooked, and bursting with amazing flavors. The generous portion of meat was a pleasant surprise, and the complimentary poppadoms were a nice touch. This was truly the best Indian meal I have ever had, whether dining in or getting takeaway.

I was a little concerned having read several poor reviews but I needn't have worried. We were given a friendly welcome, excellent service and very good food. We'll definitely be back.

I placed an online order last night, but it never arrived. When I called, I was told it was my fault for the delivery person not being able to find my address. I have ordered from this restaurant regularly in the past without any issues. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the customer service in handling this situation was quite difficult. They offered to re-deliver the same meal, but I was not interested in receiving a cold meal almost an hour after it was supposed to arrive. It also concerned me how they would find my address this time if they couldn't find it earlier. I was told someone would call me back at 10:30pm to discuss a resolution, but I never received a call. When I called back, I was abruptly hung up on after a short conversation. Despite our efforts, we were not able to resolve the issue. We eventually agreed that they could keep the money for the order that was never delivered, and I would take my business elsewhere in the future. It is unfortunate, as I purposely ordered directly to support the restaurant and avoid additional charges from delivery services. Unfortunately, I did not feel like a valued customer throughout this experience. Moving forward, I will be using Deliveroo from a different restaurant, although I prefer to support local businesses. It is disappointing when supporting local businesses does not result in receiving the food you paid for.
