Sensai was simply amazing. I loved the sushi, the spicy chicken bulgogi, and the service was fabulous. The sushi chef and his wife simply made us feel at home (we would have dinner there weekly). They unfortunately had to move on and the restaurant has now undergone a face-lift and has been turned into a Korean restaurant, under new management. I have checked it out twice, and it was a lovely surprise! I really miss... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sansai Japanese Restaurant:
Very slow and indeed poor service from a supposedly good Japanese. The waitress effectively ignored us for 40 mins while we waited patiently. One staff on a Friday night is not enough. Will not visit again.???????????????? View all feedback.
Sensai was simply amazing. I loved the sushi, the spicy chickenbulgogi, and the service was fabulous. the sushi chef and his wife just made us feel at home (we would eat there weekly). Unfortunately they had to go on and the restaurant has...now a facelift has been through and has been transformed into a Korean restaurant under new lead. I checked it twice and it was a beautiful surprise! I really miss sensai, but donco is just as good (although there will be no more sushi and the kitchen is quite different.) the atmosphere is beautiful and intimate. it's a small place, so I usually try to go on weekdays when it's less busy.
The service at this supposedly good Japanese restaurant was disappointingly slow and subpar. The waitress completely ignored us for 40 minutes while we waited patiently. Having only one server on a Friday night is unacceptable. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
We decided to try out a Japanese restaurant called Sansai on Pakington Street without any high expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the authentic Japanese atmosphere and delicious sashimi. The okonomiyaki, rice, and tempura vegetables were also very tasty. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and positive, which added to the overall experience. It was definitely a pleasant surprise and we felt like we were momentarily transported back to Japan.
The prices at this restaurant are very affordable, the food is delicious, and the presentation shows the care and effort put into its preparation. Definitely worth a visit!
This is small, so it might be worth booking if you think it could be a busy night. The decoration inside is a step up from the usual sushi bar. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is mostly good Korean/Japanese, in particular i...like their salmon sashimi, and the Wafu steak. It's BYO and it isn't silly money.
