My family enjoyed a very good family lunch. The food was very good especially the steaks. It was a Sunday lunch and it was very busy. This caused a delay in receiving the meals. However the staff worked hard to serve the guests. The food was very good and it is a pleasant environment and not noisy. View all feedback.
What Javon Ward doesn't like about Gold Diggers Arms:
What a Shame. How do you turn wild Barramundi into mushy slop? How do you make a scotch fillet and vegetables into Roadhouse quality ? Ask the the kitchen staff at the Gold Diggers Arms. View all feedback.
I would never have found this restaurant if I did not scroll past Zomato! It is embedded in some quiet residences! The service was great! The food was above average for pub grub! We enjoyed it very much! The price for 3 persons was $ 145 with every alcoholic drink! Would go back ...
A local pub with restaurant quality agent. This old pub is in the back streets of Suburban Geelong. Husic from the outside is the inside warm with open fire in the dining room and an old English feeling in the bar. Good handful of beer on tap and beautiful wines that match the quality meals. I ordered a steak and was impressed with the cut and selection of the pages. If you are using a high quality pub meal with the service to vote with the service, this is a box.
Tender rump steak with golden chips and a yum garlic butter and fresh salad. Flash roasted calamari with fried corn salad and ranch dressing. Both delicious and so delicious. Service was knowledgeable and friendly - a classic pub that is comfortable and inviting.
I have been to this hotel many times now and have never been disappointed.A good wine selection is on offer both by a he glass and bottle. This time we went with 5 sharing plates meals which was ample as they are a nice size and sit at a mid priced range. We looove their homemade pickled vegetables that accompany many dishes. The back dining area is semi-intimate and well presented and they have cloth napkins (it's the little things that count). The menu does have a good selection and there is always plenty of options for my vegetarian friends. As always professional, lovely and friendly staff and nice atmosphere for a relaxed lunch
Have just returned from Sunday lunch at the "Diggers". My husband & I both had the market fish which was pink ling with caper & dill accompanied by cous cous with black bean salsa - absolutely delicious & would put "Master Chef" to shame! Cold winter's day outside but a warm welcome from staff within!
