What Dina Schaden likes about China Town Dumpling:
Wow what a little gem!
I was a little hesitant in trying this place after reading some of the reviews but the kids who eat dumplings at least once a week in Melbourne convinced us to try I am so glad we went
Lovely plump perfectly fried with wafer thin skin and the boiled just as good
Laksa and hot & sour soup where a hit too
Service was ok but small tables and plates not being cleared is a little annoying View all feedback. What Веца Пищовколева doesn't like about China Town Dumpling:

Had to throw it...out, money is tight at the moment, spend it somewhere else ppl.. View all feedback.

read moreA comprehensive review of the restaurant highlights a mixed dining experience. The dumplings are praised for being good, knödel are described as beautiful and cheap, and the service is noted to be fast for a quick dinner. However, some dishes such as Chicken Fried Rice and Beef Black Bean are criticized for being unappetizing. Service issues include slow service, forgetfulness in taking orders, and a lack of attention to clearing tables. Despite these drawbacks, the restaurant is recommended for those seeking affordable dining options, especially for dumpling lovers. Additionally, the restaurant is acknowledged for offering a good selection of wines and allowing BYO. Overall, the restaurant is deemed suitable for a casual meal or take away, with specific dishes like Mapo Tofu and crispy pork with noodles receiving positive feedback.
