A most iconic oldest hotel in NZ! Just amazing and had a great lunch especially the tofu salad and the fried chicken. We were in for a surprised and not too sure of hmmm... when the 3 lamb skewers came with only 2 small chunks each and we thot the prize was just way over prized for that amount. Atmosphere was relaxed and nice with the tree surroundings. Thank you : Service: 4 View all feedback.

I really liked the Tofu Salt and Pepper bowl at this restaurant. It was so delicious! The dish included stir-fry rice, mushrooms, and bok choy, which added great flavor.
The menu doesn't have a lot of vegan choices, just a few, but the fried broccoli was exceptional. It was coated in a delicious sweet vinaigrette, pickled chili, and sesame seeds. Definitely worth a visit just for this dish.
I went to this charming old pub with both indoor and outdoor seating and was delighted to discover they had a variety of delicious vegan (and gluten-free) options. We ordered the eggplant and mushroom wellness bowl, fried broccoli and pickles, as well as some tasty hummus and flatbread. Everything was really good!
Was a bit funny as you are not allowed to use their toilet as long as you buy their food in the cafe, sign was hang on the toilet wall.
Must visit to just chill out in the beer garden and drink mulled wine and eat fried chicken
