I've lost count of how many times I've tried to order takeout over the phone, but they never pick up. Finally, I decided to go in person to place an order. I was prepared to wait, but they refused to let me order any curries from their menu, claiming they were 'closing soon'—even though, according to their hours on Google, they still had over an hour left and there were still guests seated. We had our first meal in Wanaka and arrived just before closing, but we were still greeted with wonderful service and outstanding food. We have no complaints about this place at all. It's charming, authentic, and absolutely delicious!
This fantastic little restaurant has been my go-to for years, and I still haven't found an Indian restaurant in New Zealand that compares! I highly recommend the korma, Kashmiri heddah, and sagwallah, as those are my personal favorites, but honestly, the entire menu is wonderful!
The authentic Kashmiri food is fantastic. It's such a joy to find a place like this. Every night, we enjoyed a variety of wonderful dishes. The menu was a delight, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

We ordered a lamb vindaloo Hot, a butter chicken mild and a chicken masala medium. What we got was 3 dishes that were pretty indistinguishable except one had lamb instead of chicken.
