Was A L at Rise a mag?
This delightful and serene restaurant is a hidden treasure tucked away in a small strip mall close to the Abbey resort where we stayed. The crab rangoon, ramen bowls, and sesame chicken were all delicious, but the beef stir fry noodles truly stood out. Since we arrived early for dinner, we had the whole place to ourselves, which enhanced our experience. The ambiance was laid-back and welcoming, and the service was ou... View all feedback.

The food at this restaurant is excellent! We particularly enjoyed the string beans, which were full of flavor. As a Cantonese person, I'm quite discerning when it comes to beef chow fun, but I can tell they prepare it very well here. The wide rice noodles (you can even request a gluten-free version, prepared without soy sauce, just seasoned with pepper and salt) are pan-fried perfectly, without the excessive oil that some Chinese restaurants use. The female owner has a background in fine arts, which explains why everything, including the utensils, is so thoughtfully presented. The veggie egg rolls are a must-try! They've been in the restaurant business in Milwaukee for years and have a wealth of experience. I was impressed by how well they execute a variety of dishes, such as Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, and Singapore noodles. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars!
The menu at Rise showcases contemporary American cuisine infused with Southern influences, emphasizing locally sourced ingredients and inventive flavor pairings. A standout dish is the fried chicken and waffles, a beloved Southern comfort food with a twist. The chicken is both crispy and juicy, while the waffles are light and fluffy, with the maple syrup providing a delightful sweetness. Another popular choice is the grilled pork chop served with black-eyed pea succotash and mustard jus. The pork chop is expertly cooked to achieve a crispy exterior while remaining tender and juicy on the inside. Accompanying it, the black-eyed pea succotash offers a unique and flavorful contrast, while the mustard jus adds a tangy, savory element to the dish. The service at Rise is outstanding, featuring friendly and attentive staff who are well-informed about the menu and eager to provide recommendations. The cocktail selection is equally impressive, showcasing creative and delicious drinks that are expertly prepared. In summary, I highly recommend Rise restaurant for anyone in search of a top-quality dining experience in Dallas. The remarkable food, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service make it a place I look forward to returning to for another fantastic meal.

There was an additional $3 charge for takeout vs online order, which we were told about at takeout pickup (I wish they told us while ordering). Additionally, when my husband brought the food to our hotel, we realized no utensils were included, delaying our dinner further. Finally, the food tasted like Chinese (e.g. breaded chicken, no tofu in miso soup) and not Japanese, and had mediocre taste. The chicken bento box was hard to eat. Overall, disappointed in the lack of transparency/service/taste and I’m not going to be a repeat customer. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 2

The menu at Rise highlights contemporary American cuisine with a Southern twist, utilizing locally sourced ingredients and inventive flavor combinations. A standout dish is the fried chicken and waffles—a classic Southern comfort food elevated with a unique flair. The chicken is perfectly crispy and juicy, while the waffles are light and fluffy, enhanced by the perfect drizzle of maple syrup for a touch of sweetness. Another favorite is the grilled pork chop, served with black-eyed pea succotash and mustard jus. Cooked to perfection, the pork chop has a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat inside. The black-eyed pea succotash offers a unique and flavorful side that pairs wonderfully with the pork, and the mustard jus adds a tangy and savory note to the meal. The service at Rise is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who are well-versed in the menu and eager to offer recommendations. The cocktail menu is equally impressive, featuring creative and delicious drinks that are skillfully crafted. Overall, I highly recommend Rise restaurant to anyone in search of a high-quality dining experience in Dallas. The food, atmosphere, and service are all first-rate, and I can’t wait to return to Rise for another remarkable meal.
The female owner, who has a major in fine arts, has clearly brought her attention to detail into the restaurant, as everything, including the utensils, is thoughtfully presented. The veggie egg rolls are a must-try! They've been in the restaurant business for years in Milwaukee and have a wealth of experience. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they prepare a variety of dishes, including Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, and Singapore noodles.
We finally had dinner there last night, and we absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, fresh, and there was a great selection. The owner and our server, Jadan, were very friendly and welcoming. We drove from Elkhorn, which took about 15 minutes. I highly recommend this place. Thank you!
Hands down the best sushi I have had since being back in Wisconsin. Great quality food! The smoked salmon sushi roll was my favorite!
The place is darker with a relaxing atmosphere. The simple decorations are elegant and pleasing to the eyes. Definitely a good place to relax or for a date.As for the food this was by far one of tastiest Asian meals I had. Only one place in Washington DC compares to it. My husband had Kung Pao Chicken for lunch and I had the Eel Bento Box. No sushi before 4 pm. We'll come back and would recommend this place to anyone.

This charming little restaurant offers an excellent variety of Asian cuisine, featuring both familiar and unique dishes. It’s not just your standard Japanese or Chinese spot; it has a distinct flavor and style all its own. We ordered some sushi, including the spicy crunch roll and spicy tuna rolls, which were satisfying and leaned more towards sweet than spicy—still very enjoyable. We also sampled the chicken bento box, Kung Pao chicken, and beef with mushrooms, all of which were outstanding. The sesame chicken resembled orange chicken and was quite sweet, which isn't our preference, but it was still tasty. Overall, this is definitely a place worth trying!
Each time I’ve ordered takeout from Rise, it has been delicious and served hot—no need for reheating! I’ve tried the sushi, beef and broccoli, and chicken and broccoli, and they were all excellent. The hostess was also very friendly when I picked up my order. I highly recommend this place!
The food here is absolutely delicious! The service is friendly, and the interior is lovely with beautiful dishware. It's a quaint little spot—more of a hidden gem than a fancy restaurant—but it has a lot of charm. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the incredible flavors make it well worth it. Highly recommended!
Sushi is mediocre at best. Spring rolls were good and have heard good things about the hot foods and fried rice. Customer service was great though and has a very nice and relaxing vibe
Wow. spicy tuna roll that's actually spicy, eel and avocado roll with identifiable eel, sweet and sour chicken melts in your mouth. we got a bunch of different things for a bunch of different people and this place vastly exceeded my expectations. definitely going to be a new regular stop when we're in town.

I had a delightful experience at this lovely little restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. The ability to bring your own alcohol is a great perk, especially since they didn't have a liquor license earlier this year.
