Unfortunately, we had to wait over 20 m... read more My husband and I went to Akropolis Grill for the first time yesterday. The ambiance was great, we felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our food, even though the restaurant was empty. We ordered a gyro salad and fries with Metaxa sauce. When the food finally arrived, we were disappointed to find that the gyro was completely greasy and barely crispy. The portion was small for almost €14. My fries were absolutely awful. The Metaxa sauce was nothing like it. It was an unidentifiable mess, similar to the cheese sauce you get at the movies with nachos. We've never had such bad Greek food, especially considering the price of €26 for two small dishes and two drinks. Never again. Hours later, the food was still sitting like a rock in our stomachs.
