Bojangles - Walterboro
Bojangles
Description
This Bojangles serves classic Southern fast-food staples — hot fried chicken, flaky biscuits and standout items like the pork‑chop biscuit — with friendly, often helpful staff, family appeal and convenient parking near the highway. Experiences vary: many praise flavorful food, prompt service and good value, while others report inconsistent cooking (over- or undercooked chicken, fries and biscuits), forgotten orders, drive‑thru issues and occasional staff rudeness. Expect solid takeout and casual dining most visits, but variable reliability in service and food quality.

It was a busy Sunday in town, but Bojangles delivered fantastic service and tasty food for us to take home. My 10-year-old granddaughter loved her meal and had no complaints. The staff was friendly, and my order was spot on.
I usually enjoy Bojangles, but my experience at this location was disappointing. I visited on a Friday evening around 7:30 PM, prime time for dinner, yet they seemed completely unprepared for the rush. I had to go inside to place my order because the drive-thru was out of service, which I can understand sometimes happens. However, after ordering the chicken sandwich combo, I found myself waiting a long time while others who ordered after me received their meals. After speaking with the staff, I discovered they had forgotten my order. That was surprising. Once I finally got my food, it fell far short of the quality I've experienced at other Bojangles locations. The chicken in my sandwich was lukewarm, dry, and chewy, which was unappetizing. The fries were overcooked and overly crunchy as well. By that point, I was already a couple of miles down the road and didn’t want to turn back. I've had much better service and food at other Bojangles, so I won't be returning to this one. I’d rather go hungry than eat there again. Two thumbs down!
I had a very disappointing experience at this Bojangles location. The chicken was overcooked and dry, the biscuits were undercooked and tasted too much like baking soda, the french fries were also undercooked, and the sweet tea was weak and not sweet at all. I've visited Bojangles in five different states, and I've never come across such poor quality. If I could give it zero stars, I would. The restaurant wasn't busy—only two cars were in the drive-thru around 5:00 PM—so there should have been plenty of time to prepare fresh food. There's really no excuse for this.
I went inside to order food, and everything was good. Shortly after, a coworker came in, but the staff told them they would be right with them, then said it was drive-thru only. A few minutes later, more customers came in and were served. You shouldn't get to pick which customers you want to serve.
Bojangles has brought back their pork chop biscuit sandwiches, and I couldn't be happier! This sandwich is a personal favorite of mine. Priced at just $3.79, or $6.79 for the combo, it’s a fantastic deal. The menu offers consistently delicious biscuits, and the fried chicken features an amazing battered coating. The coleslaw is also very flavorful. With ample parking and friendly, welcoming staff, Bojangles is definitely a place I plan to visit frequently.
