I always enjoy visiting this restaurant for its exceptional food, outstanding service, and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is consistently warm, and the dishes are served hot, tailored to your personal preferences. I ordered the chicken saag aloo dupiaza, and it certainly met my expectations. I come here regularly with my wife, family, and friends, and none of us have ever received food that wasn't served hot. Amo, the host, is always friendly and welcoming, and his staff are consistently professional, polite, and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
After reading the online reviews and having visited a few years ago, we were excited to return. However, while the welcome was warm, the food was not, and the chilly atmosphere left us shivering. The poppadoms were cold, limp, and tasted stale. My chicken shaslik, which is usually served piping hot at most places, was only lukewarm. Although the chicken was tender, it would have been so much better if it had been hot. The onion was served in generous portions, but there was only one cooked tomato — just two small cold slices — and two tiny pieces of red pepper. My side of “vegetable bhajee” consisted mostly of mushrooms, which I dislike, with only a hint of peas and potato. It was a major letdown. Meanwhile, my husband’s Madras Balti was the least authentic version we’ve ever encountered. It was just a bland, mushy brown gravy with heat but no discernible flavor or visible ingredients. There were no layers of taste whatsoever. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement.
Simply the best. You won’t find anywhere better. Excellent service, excellent food. We have eaten here a few times. Amo and the team always look after us. Tonight we had usual poppadoms with onion salad, onion Bhaji, , Tikka chicken starter, chicken balti with plain naan, chicken tikka patia, rice. and baileys coffee. The onion bhaji’s here are the best in Birmingham. I always have 4.
A lovely evening, superb food and the atmosphere staff were excellent, thank you Amo for making myself and my friend Clare really welcome
