Disgusting. Toilet seat hanging off in mens. Sick on floor, there was no one else in the pub and this was 2pm. Glasses so dirty we left our drinks. Tables, furniture and floor so old and dirty the cleaner must think they can't be bothered to clean them....Grotty. from thr outside it looks closed, even a takeaway delivery driver said it looked closed when he gave the barman his dinner. Went for a beer at midday on a saturday.... and its still locked up. Can the landlord not be bothered to get up. No wonder its closing down.

The Live Wire band was excellent. The Anchor was packed last night. Overall, it was a great evening!
Terrible experience. The men's restroom had a toilet seat hanging off, and there was vomit on the floor. It was only 2 PM, and there were no other customers in the pub. The glasses were so dirty that we decided not to finish our drinks. The tables, furniture, and floor were old and filthy, making it seem like the cleaner has given up on maintaining them. It looked very run-down. From the outside, it even appeared closed; a takeaway delivery driver commented on how it looked abandoned when he brought dinner to the bartender. It’s concerning when the bar staff seem to prefer takeout over cooking in the pub's kitchen. I contacted Marston's because I doubt anyone from the head office has visited in years. I'm not local, but if this pub were in my neighborhood, it would have been shut down and renovated a long time ago.
