Coffee Break - Walnut
Coffee Break
Description
Once a beloved neighborhood spot run by a friendly couple, this small Taiwanese-Asian fusion eatery still shines with homemade comfort dishes, standout Thai tea and Vietnamese-style coffee, and takeout-friendly sizzling plates like chicken steak and fried fish curry. However, rising prices, inconsistent service, skimpy portions and travel-sized containers, uneven seasoning, overly sweet or poorly mixed drinks, and occasional extra charges leave experiences mixed. Worth trying for tea/coffee lovers and nostalgic regulars, but temper expectations for hospitality and value.

I really enjoy the Thai tea here. In the past, when they prepared it, you could see the foam (as shown in an older picture), which looked quite impressive. It seems they've switched to a newer design that is more convenient for travel, but it doesn't have the same foamy texture.
I absolutely love this place! The food feels truly "homemade." The couple who runs it are amazing—friendly and very kind. They offer a fantastic selection of delicious options along with a full tea and coffee bar. Be sure to check them out!
I hope your restaurant in Victorville, California expands, as my family and I truly enjoy dining at places like yours. We particularly love the hot pot, and as far as I know, our city doesn’t have any restaurants that offer hot pot or other Asian fusion dishes. We’re big fans of the fantastic variety of Asian cuisine that we just can’t find in the High Desert. I really hope your restaurant will consider expanding to our area in the near future!
The food was ok. I ordered the Ribeye steak sizzler plate with spaghetti. It was kind of bland and sweet from the spaghetti sauce. I understand that this is Taiwanese take on western food but the garlic butter sauce doesn't shine at all. The food was under-seasoned so I had to ask them for soy sauce. Vietnamese Coffee was so so, I mean it's not authentic but they get the general feeling of Vietnamese coffee right with arabica coffee and condense milk. Definitely nailed the smoky taste.
