The restaurant appeared to be nice. The takeaway service was okay but they forgot to include my Biryani sauce!
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with delicious food and very friendly staff. The service was exceptional for our large party of 13. I highly recommend this place.
The food and service were excellent every time we visited. We highly recommend trying out their sit-down menu, but consider taking a take-away next time and enjoy picking up your order from the restaurant instead of having it delivered by someone else. The quality of the food is definitely worth it.
I decided to try out Purple Mango based on some positive reviews I had heard. However, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food was average, with the lamb dishes I ordered being particularly subpar - the meat was undercooked and there was not enough of it. The biryani and chicken tandoori were decent but quite oily. On the plus side, the service was friendly and accommodating. The staff was attentive to my requests, which I appreciated. Overall, Purple Mango is a slightly pricey Indian restaurant that offers a few good dishes. However, their lamb dishes, which are often considered a benchmark for Indian cuisine, did not meet expectations.
I made a reservation for my birthday and was extremely dissatisfied with both the food and service. The service felt hurried with no breaks between courses, and the food lacked flavor - it seemed like no spices were used. The prices were too high, the restaurant was overrated, and the staff were rude. I will not be returning. Instead, I will stick with my favorite restaurant in Olney, The Maya, where the staff is polite and attentive to your individual preferences. Service: Dine in.
