The spring rolls were perfectly crispy on the outside but the filling was mushy. The seafood clay pot was delicious and the ingredients were fresh and high quality. View all feedback.
What Susie Rae Ray doesn't like about Peony Garden:
I was at Kaiser Permanente across the street for the last 7 hours due to a person having emergency surgery. Someone at the hospital said right across the street is a Chinese restaurant, it might be good. I walked from the hospital to the restaurant and stood in the lobby to place an order to take back to the hospital. I didn't want to be away from the hospital for too long. The food is authentic Chinese food, and the service is great.
Have eaten at Peony Garden several times. Food is consistently good, atmosphere is nice, service is adequate and matter of fact. More authentic Cantonese dishes. They have a rewards program that needs some work but can be straightened out with some persistence. Would recommend for casual dining. Parking: If you get there early for lunch around 11:30am, you're more likely to get a parking space in the lot. Usually not that difficult
This downtown Chinese restaurant featuring traditional fare is conveniently located across from the Kaiser Hospital. While the atmosphere is a bit shaby, the food was about as expected and the service attentive.
This was our first visit and we weren't sure where we'd park in downtown W.C. We were happy to see a convenient parking lot with plenty of spaces adjacent to the restaurant building. It was a short walk to the restaurant entrance. We were immediately greeted by staff upon entry and quickly taken to a table. No waiting was necessary and we didn't take long to have our order taken. We will definitely return to try more of their dishes and share the experience with others. Parking: It's unclear if the parking lot is shared with any other business adjacent to it.
I keep coming back for the Singapore Noodles. I pair it with something I've never had every time and I have yet to be disappointed.
