Amazing Sushi quality and wonderful 'at home ' service. Better than Sasa! And who can beat the $5 corkage fee. After two visits they actually knew our 'usual order ' order. Don 't let the strip mall exterior deter you. The interior is quaint and the Sushi amazing quality and fair price. View all feedback.

Just okay. They aren't open for dine in yet so we did a to go order. We only ordered a rainbow row to see if this place was any good and it turned out to be nothing memorable. The appearance of the fish was a little off which definitely put us off. It just didn't look super fresh. On top of that the roll itself was kind of small but not horribly small. It was just okay. They aren't offering dine-in service yet, so we placed a to-go order. We decided to try a rainbow roll to see if the restaurant was any good, but unfortunately, it was nothing memorable. The fish's appearance was a bit off, which was definitely off-putting; it didn’t look very fresh. Additionally, the roll was somewhat small, though not excessively so. The only positive was the quick preparation time, and the roll's price of $13.95 was reasonable. I probably won’t return, but for sushi in Walnut Creek, it’s acceptable.
The Oak roll is incredible with its cream cheese and macadamia nut combination. Whenever I have a sushi craving, which is about every few weeks, I always order this along with a few of my other favorite rolls. The flavors from this restaurant are unmatched—bold, unique, and absolutely delicious!
During my most recent visit, my total was $44 and some change. I handed the cashier a $50 bill, and she put it in the register, closed it, and smiled at me. But where was my change? To me, that feels fundamentally unfair. It's not up to the restaurant to decide to keep the change, whether it's 50 cents or $50. Because of this experience, I have no plans to return.
I ordered through DoorDash for pick-up since they aren't offering indoor dining during the pandemic. I waited about 5 minutes when I arrived. Overall, my experience was quite average. I usually only eat kappa (cucumber) rolls, and they were just okay here. However, the wasabi was really good! The soy sauce might have contained some rice vinegar, but I’m not entirely sure.
A couple of months ago, I visited this restaurant with a friend to grab some takeout. I ordered the Lion King roll, which was absolutely delicious. However, I'm deducting a few stars from my rating because I ended up feeling quite sick in the middle of the night. Since the sushi was the only item outside of my usual diet that day, I suspect my stomach just couldn't handle it. I might choose something different next time instead of the Lion King roll.
