Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant received mixed reviews, with customers expressing disappointment in both the food quality and service. Some experienced issues with incorrect orders, slow service, and unappetizing presentation. Despite affordable prices and large portions, many were left feeling unsatisfied with their dining experience. However, some visitors were pleasantly surprised by the variety of English, Korean, and Japanese dishes offered. They enjoyed the delicious food, interesting flavors, and fresh ingredients. While improvements in service and food preparation were suggested, those who appreciated the unique menu and tasty dishes expressed a desire to return for another meal.
Lunch time walked past the Lamb arcade and saw the sign for the cafe inside. Decided to give it a go expecting the usual plain food from an Antique Shop cafe. Pleasantly surprised to find it does English, Korean and Japanese. Had chicken teriyaki which was very taste. Place needs to advertise itself better, saw lots of oldies , walk in and walk out, when they saw it wasn 't English. Definitely one to try at lunch.
Nice coffee and cake during the day with quirky milk jugs and nice evening takeaway. Would recommend but have not had a sit down meal yet.
We started by ordering afternoon tea, but had to explain and show the staff what it was. We also requested a glass of water, which we had to pay for. Unfortunately, we were informed they were not serving afternoon tea, so we had to choose something else. We ended up ordering two tuna sandwiches and tea for two. The tea arrived quickly, but as we waited, another table received the wrong order. Our order eventually arrived, but it was also incorrect. The presentation was unappetizing, with what looked like a knife smear of mayonnaise on cold, toasted bread. We sent it back, but when it returned, we were disappointed. Overall, we will not be dining at this restaurant again.
Delicious food, interesting flavours. Freshly cooked to order so not exactly fast but definitely worth waiting for. Staff friendly and price/quantities reasonable.
I am a big fan of Japanese cuisine and my partner loves Korean food. Unfortunately, there are not many options locally, so we were excited to try this new restaurant in Wallingford. The restaurant has a unique setting, located up a flight of stairs and over a bridge into a nice room. However, the food did not meet our expectations. Both my partner and I ordered beef dishes, but the meat was tough and cut into large chunks, making it difficult to chew. There was also an unexpected abundance of celery in my dish. It seems like the restaurant may not know how to properly prepare Japanese and Korean food. The service was slow and our waiter seemed disinterested and inexperienced. On a positive note, the prices were cheap and the portions were large. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and had hoped for better quality Japanese food in Oxfordshire. Good Japanese restaurants are hard to come by in this area, unlike the abundance of Chinese, Thai, and Indian options. I prefer not to write negative reviews, but in this case, I felt it was necessary.
