The Grove Hidden Valley Resort - WALLAN
The Grove Hidden Valley Resort
Description
Hidden Valley offers a unique dining experience, highlighted by picturesque views and a diverse menu catering to various tastes. Guests have enjoyed exceptional service and delicious meals, with options for vegan diners. However, recent feedback indicates declining standards, including issues with food quality and cleanliness. Service inconsistencies have led to frustration, particularly during busy times. While some patrons appreciate the warm atmosphere and attentive staff, others faced long waits and mismanagement. Ultimately, Hidden Valley remains a charming getaway, though its reliability may vary, making it less appealing for regular visits.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at The Grove, they exceeded all our expectations! The food was delicious (and decent serving sizes , they catered to dietary requirements with no fuss, a great selection of drinks (including non-alcoholic, beyond soft drinks, which was so refreshing to see! . Our waiter Jacob was polite, friendly, helpful and attentive. There was not a long wait for food (considering a large table ordered just before us . The decor and setting was comfortable, updated, clean and refreshing and the seats were so comfy we didn't want to leave! There was no fuss with us having a baby in a pram with us (the staff were very friendly and accommodating and it was quiet in the dining room so we could enjoy conversation. I cannot fault The Grove at all, we will definitely be back. I'm glad to find a decent restaurant in Wallan that offers good food at reasonable prices (and that is not the typical pub meal! Thank you Grove! :
If you're in Wallan, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant! As a Melbourne guy from the southeastern suburbs, I don’t usually make my way to Wallan, but during a recent visit to the golf course, we decided to grab a bite to eat on-site. The food was excellent! We shared a pizza and a parma, and the quality of both dishes definitely deserves high praise. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!
Great place to visit when on a weekend drive. In a beautiful setting with stunning views and a relaxed vibe. Ordered the Fish and Chips, Laksa Bao, all delicious. Service also 10/10.
Took my mum here for a small birthday lunch. An easy 40min drive north of Melbourne, in the middle of the Hidden Valley Golf Course Residential development. Newly opened, with some building and grounds work still going on. The Bistro was nice, tastefully decorated, giving a classy feel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and *very* attentive. We had the antipasti platter, the lamb shoulder gnocchi the beef pot pie. All were wonderfully flavourful, with the gnocchi definitely the highlight. The look and feel of the venue, and the quality of the food, surprised us given the very reasonable prices. The team went out of their way to ensure mum enjoyed the experience, with anyone coming to our table wishing her a happy birthday. They even comp’ed our desserts. A really lovely meal overall, and look forward to visiting again soon.
