I'm a local. The new owners have lifted the atmosphere and quality. You will have to try the food and coffee for yourself as I haven't, although I am told it is worth making the stop. The improvements are a work in progress. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wallabadah General Store:
Mid-morning & we felt like a coffee... and viola, 5 mins later spotted this place - advertises they do good coffee. While we waited for our coffees, I checked out the back internal wall which is covered in hand written messages & signatures. Our coffees were ok. View all feedback.
I decided to stop by this restaurant because of their advertisement claiming to serve the best coffee outside of Italy. I ordered a coffee and was not disappointed - it was large and delicious!
I stopped by The Hub on Friday after noticing it while driving on the southbound side of the autobahn near Tamworth. I ordered the speck and eggs for breakfast, and it was a large portion. I enjoyed my meal on the veranda, where the staff was very friendly and the service was quick.
We rode our motorcycle to Mudgee and stumbled upon this hidden gem. The man working behind the counter mentioned that he usually works in the back but came out to serve us. It's a mystery why such a friendly and welcoming person isn't at the front of the restaurant. He would be a great asset to any hospitality establishment!
Large speck and eierroll delicious home made quiches. will stop there more often
After failing to find a good value, sit-down breakfast venue in Quirindi, we headed back home and decided to stop for a coffee at the Wallabadah General Store, not expecting them to have the kind of big breakfast I was hanging out for thinking...they just did coffee and snacks. What a great surprise! There's was the best value, great tasting and pretty healthy (not too fatty) big breakfast I've found in a long time on both sides of the Pacific and the coffee is as promised. Who would have thought? In little old Wallabadah. You won't find better on the New England Highway.
