The Marc - Walla Walla
The Marc
Description
The Marc offers a charming ambiance that invites diners to enjoy a range of culinary delights, from an impressive dessert lineup featuring chocolate custard and foie gras gelato to standout dishes like cedar plank salmon and expertly cooked pork chops. However, recent changes in ownership appear to have led to a decline in food quality and menu variety, leaving some patrons disappointed with thin steaks and overcooked seafood. While service remains attentive and friendly, consistency in the kitchen seems to be an issue. Ultimately, The Marc holds promise but may not meet every diner's expectations.

This restaurant has gone downhill since the new owners took over. The rooms were dirty the last time we were here in the spring, but we hoped the food would still be good. Unfortunately, it seems that the new owners are more focused on cutting costs than on providing quality food. The passion and love for food that used to be present is now missing.
It was a busy night and our waitress was obviously working solo. But we were patient and all of our courses were very well made with excellent ingredients, from the delicious scampi and onion roll, to the burrata tomato salad. My pasta with pinnoli, fresh corn and exceptional mushrooms was very tasty and my husband's pork chop was cooked to perfection! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
The food at this restaurant was okay, but the service was incredibly slow. It took a long time to be seated, to pay, and to have our coffee refilled. The atmosphere was nice though. Overall, I would give it a 3 for food, 1 for service, and 5 for atmosphere. The price per person was $10-20 for breakfast.
4 of us had made a 6:30pm reservation for the Restaurant Month menu. It took over an hour for our cocktails to arrive, at around an hour and a half we had to ask if we could order food. By the time the restaurant was closing at 9pm we had only received our salads. When a guy who said they should be plating it now went to check and came back without food, we said we were leaving as it had been 2.5+ hours. We left, went to Passatempo, and had drinks and a pizza within 15 mins. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
