Burrum Heads - Walkers Point

It's remarkable because of the wide variety of asian food found here Not all of it was good but they did have some things that were OK.

We go there for the grill , bbq ribs/skewers and salmon Sashimi, sushi had many variety but sometimes do not look fresh.

Right on the Burrum River mouth. you have a choice of river, or ocean fishing. Thread fin Salom, Flathead, Whiting, and the list goes on. Safe swimming, no stingers, maybe the odd Blue Bottle (after a few days of Northerly winds) but a really nice quiet place to have a holiday.

I might be biased because we decided it was a great place to live and purchased land and built here in 2010.Fabulous boat ramp, 2 great caravan/camping grounds, Foodworks, butcher, baker, real estate agencies, fabulous fish and chip take-away, service station, fishing tackle & bait store with LPG available, 2 hairdressers, medical centre, pathology centre, hotel with meals and accommodation, bowls club with bar and restaurant. SES, Rural Fire Brigade and Monday crafters at the Community hall, plus much more and very friendly locals to boot. Great place to holiday and suitable for all ages and lifestyles. Needs a good cafe/restaurant to service locals and visitors alike - now there is a business opportunity for some enterprising individual!

We had an overnight stay at Burrum Heads recently, as an overnight stay on the way to Brisbane.We stayed at the Burrum heads Hotel Motel which was clean and comfortable and a reasonable price.On Saturday night we dined in the restaurant attached to the motel and were pleasantly surprised with the meals we received. Good food at a reasonable price.
