The only downside was the generally cramped seating. There were six of us at a table (meant for six), and we barely had room for our food and drinks; our legs were touching under the table. All in all, still quite good. Reservations are recommended during peak hours.

Th... read more My absolute favorite restaurant for over 30 years. I've been going to the Weinstüble in Waldkirch regularly for over 30 years now – and I'm always impressed. The food is simply outstanding, always freshly prepared and cooked with lots of love. You can immediately tell that quality, tradition, and hospitality are top priorities here. I know the menu inside and out by now, but every dish never fails to impress me. This time I even had a special request: lamb fillet in Metaxa sauce – and what can I say? It was perfect! Tender meat, a wonderfully spicy sauce, and everything with a typical Mediterranean touch that immediately conjures up a holiday feeling. I also particularly like that the Weinstüble uses olive oil and spices from the homeland of the welcoming family who run it. This attention to detail can be felt in every bite and in the entire atmosphere of the establishment. The team is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming; you simply feel welcome – almost like being with good friends. No wonder the restaurant is usually fully booked. If you want to eat here, be sure to make a reservation in advance! A true piece of culinary home in Waldkirch – authentic, family-friendly, and consistently of the highest quality. I look forward to my visit every time and can wholeheartedly recommend the Weinstüble!
