In this way we have made many charming discoveries. So on our regular excursions along the A6 the spectacularly situated Waldenburg has long been in the eye. Recently, we are finally striving to look at them from the vicinity and find out whether the view from above over the Land of Hohenlohe is as impressive as the one from below. After three kilometers we had made the little climb. After a walk through the castle there was lunch. On the one hand there was the moony but somewhat subcooled restaurant of the Panorama Hotel, on the other side of Bergfried, a house that had fallen somewhat from the time, outside and in the forecourt of the late Middle Ages, within 50s, with a suitable but very diverse map. We chose Bergfried. The atmosphere is extremely familiar, and two of the four family members represented on the website take care of us. In addition to numerous regional courts, the map also contained some Austrians; if I understood them correctly, the daughter-in-law has brought along. My wife had clean fried salmon and, in exchange for salads, mixed vegetables, which then looked out and tasted very much after completion from the freezer. We had ordered something that was not planned in kitchen planning, but a little fresh vegetables should be somewhere in the kitchen. I had ordered the Buffalo grill plate, combined with regional beef, veal and – with the name quite dared – pig; all three pieces, as it is for the Land of Hohenlohe, were of excellent quality, although they were too good for my taste. You should have discussed that before. The sauce was slightly thin and hardly glued to the pommes, which influenced the overall impression. All in all, our little detour was once again an example that it is always worth taking off the highway for meals, although there was still air here. You can lose some time, but this is nothing compared to the gain of food and therefore quality of life, because what is better than the food supply of the Tank Rast group is found in all. And you can go to the bathroom for free.
