Nothing compares to their pasties—so good that they don’t even bother to serve gravy, as they believe it would only cover the delicious flavor! They also offer special pasties; just give them a call, and they’ll ship them via UPS during the winter months. A visit to Wakefield wouldn’t be complete without stopping by this charming bakery, known for its amazing glazed donuts and unique kartoffel rolls that you won’t find anywhere else. This old-fashioned establishment serves a delightful array of baked goods, broths, and biscuits. And trust me, every calorie is worth it! Great pasties and amazing customer service! the waitress was very polite and she did a great task to help all customers in the middle of a power failure. I highly recommend them and will definitely stop again next time I am in the opposite!
We recently moved to the area and decided to visit this charming bakery on a Tuesday for a pasty. You can choose to dine in, take out fresh or frozen options, or even call ahead to place an order. It's truly a hidden gem! Just a heads up: make sure to bring cash, as I didn't notice a credit card machine.
Avoid this place unless you're a regular who comes for their pasties. Even when they have them fresh out of the oven, they are typically reserved for regulars who are in the know, as mentioned by the blonde staff member behind the counter.
Their pasties are unquestionably the best in the North Woods! Their pastries are excellent as well.
