We came for a spot of lunch. My husband had the plough mans which included ham, cheese, pork pie, quiche ,salad, pickles ,grapes and bread and butter. All fresh and tasty. I went to the café for a coffee and pot of tea. When the tea arrived, the teapot was dirty. I was not happy with this experience and I will not be returning to this café. It just needs a good cleaning. View all feedback.
After spending a good hour in teh garden cnetre , we needed a rest . So, we found a table in theh bright and airy conservatory area . Staff were busy making sure teh areas were clean and tidy . We oredered ham sandwiches , cakes and tea . The food arrived brisky and in a welll presented fashion. Tasty and good value . Will trturn.
I waited for 30 minutes and received cold fish and chips. The staff was unfriendly and the plant prices were only 50% off. What's the point?

Our usual enjoyment of this restaurant was dampened recently when we decided to try their fish and chips, as we had seen an advertisement for their new fish and chip shop fryer unit. To our disappointment, the fish was doughy and had a terrible taste, and the chips seemed to be the scraps from the bottom of the bag. It's unfortunate to say that the new fryer did not improve the quality of their fish and chips.

The only grumble was that we weren't aware we were supposed to get our own cutlery, or where it was. Perhaps the staff could just mention that when paying? The fans in the conservatory were a bit too blowy for my liking too but that's just my personal thought. All in all we really liked it and will return.
