Teapresso Mililani - Waipio Acres

Tried Teapresso for the first time today. I ordered a strawberry mango smoothie. Service was good and received my drink fast... the drink itself was alright but not great. The smoothie was very milky and could barely taste strawberry or mango in it. I wouldn't have thought it had strawberry or mango if I hadn't seen little pieces in the drink. The drink was also very icy. Every sip I took I was crunching on ice. I would probably be back again to try their teas but never again will I order a smoothie from here.

I want to preface that when Teapresso first opened in Times, they had great service and awesome quality drinks/boba. Currently, the quality is dependent on who makes the drink. I have never had a Thai Coffee so much lower than the no ice line. I thought about if this was correct, then went back to say that this was unacceptable (see photo compares drink to no ice line example). The cashier was very defensive and said, well I followed the recipe and that 's what it is. No apology or better explanation. They ended up calling the manager and she told them, oh yeah I get customers like that all the time. I was not yelling or being rude, but wanted an explanation since I 'm a pretty regular customer and never had this Thai Coffee so low before... Sad to say I was pretty disappointed.I decided a month later to give this Teapresso location another chance since everyone has off days. This time, there was a different cashier and staff, yet my drink was not only below the level of the sample, but in a SMALL sized cup. They state that Thai Coffee ONLY comes in a large size. I decided not to push the issue and will NEVER be coming back. I will drive to Waipio to go to Coffee or Tea instead as they always have consistent drinks and quality.

8-2-22 first time tasting a cold beverage from here. Located inside the door of Times to your left. Doc got a Hong Kong milk tea. She likes it simple, no boba. I've never had Wintermelon Milk Tea and wanted to give it a try. It was a mixture of flavors. The first sip I got a slurp of soft Wintermelon up my straw. For some reason it reminded me of some kind of Chinese flavor. The second sip further down to the bottom of the cup tasted Japanese. Hard to explain. Very different from other milk teas. Finally on the third sip I tasted some custard. I liked that the drink was super cold and sweet. Maybe because I always say no ice, no sugar. Doc said the employee said 50% was the least amount of sugar they could make it unlike other places that provide 0% sugar. I drank half of it before heading out and finished the rest from being in the fridge when we came home. If there is a next time I'll try a different flavor with no ice, no sugar. Why? To me the ice hinders full-on up the straw-full of custard. Why no sugar, rationalizing it'll help lower my A1C a bit. Always a nice change to try something new or different.

I'm not a teenage girl, but I still love boba. Ambiance is... well, it's in a supermarket. But everything else? Amazing. Friendly service in particular!
