What Eric M doesn't like about David's Cafe:
This Cafe has the same address as the Kingdom of **** church in Waipahu. They had a young girl selling their Butter Mochi I think some kind of Cupcakes for $10 $8 respectively in the Mililani Longs parking lot today. She just hung around the parking lot with a shopping cart full of products to sell would come up to you after you park your car. If you google the church name, they don 't seem to have a good reputation... View all feedback.
I ended up buying one pack for $10, but I immediately wished I had bought two or three because it was absolutely delicious! It was chewy, sweet, and coconut-flavored, making my afternoon delightful and leaving my stomach very happy. Next time I see buttermilk mochi, I'm definitely going to grab a couple of packs so I don’t have to fight for the last piece! Thanks for reading, and happy adventures, fellow mochi lovers!
I purchased mochi and pancit from someone claiming to be selling items made by Dave's Cafe as part of a fundraiser. The mochi was priced at $10, and I paid $8 for a small clear plastic container of pancit. While I can somewhat justify the price of the mochi, I have to say that it was still disappointing compared to options from grocery stores like Foodland. However, the pancit was even worse! It was incredibly bland, tasting more like noodles with soy sauce and lacking in both vegetables and meat. I definitely felt it was not worth the $8. Reading some of these questionable reviews only added to my disappointment. Now I'm cautious about trusting any fundraisers in parking lots.
This cafe is associated with the Kingdom of **** church and Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. They've been sending out vendors around the island who claim to represent various charities. It's important to note that this organization is currently under investigation by the FBI for sex trafficking minors. I encourage you to do your research before donating any money to this organization.
This cafe shares the same address as the Kingdom of **** church in Waipahu. Today, I noticed a young girl selling Butter Mochi and what looked like cupcakes for $10 and $8 respectively in the parking lot of Longs in Mililani. She was moving around the parking lot with a shopping cart full of products, approaching people as they parked their cars. When I looked up the church's name online, it appears they don't have a great reputation for their practices across the country. I'm unsure whether this is a scam or a legitimate fundraiser, so just be cautious if you decide to buy anything.
