I thought Maui would be an amazing experience with its beautiful beaches, amazing landscapes, and world-class golf courses, but I never thought that absolute best thing my girlfriend and I did in Maui was go to Esters Fair Prospect in Wailuku! I have no doubt that Colten was sent directly from the heavens above to bartend. A genuine taste of class with a quick service, wonderful cocktails, and a one-of-kind personali... View all feedback.
What Tina C doesn't like about Esters Fair Prospect:
Hours are highly inconsistent. We planned to go here before the theater. I called a couple of days before to see if they were open. When we showed up at 5pm, they were closed. A women setting up chairs said we aren't open until 6:30pm, BTW the theater opens at 6:45? WTF? She was incredibly rude, and could care less. We had friends who went the night before, no problem.Spent our money somewhere else that wanted custom... View all feedback.
Maui is an amazing place and this bar was one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. My only regret is that we didn't discover it until the last day of our trip, while killing time near the airport. I tried the comfortably numb and the milk punch- both of which were super unique and tasty. If you like to be a little adventurous with your cocktails, this is definitely a good spot. And if not, get a daquiri! The ceviche and little sliders were delicious as well. Iappreciated that this was a less touristy part of Maui and seemed to be frequented by locals. While appreciating the fun vibe and eclectic atmosphere, we were lucky enough to meet the owner, Jessica. She had a fantastic story of how the barcame to be and a ridiculous amount of mixology knowledge. The other bartender was very personable and fun as well! Even if it's a drive from your hotel, it's worth planning to spend a few hours here! 10/10 would recommend!
It sounds kinda cheesy right? Drinking at a tiki bar in Maui? I 'm not much of a dive bar with a PBR type of guy and love tiki bars and frou frou fruity drinks. This place has a very beautiful tropical vibe and aesthetics. The drinks are made with care and top notch ingredients. Love their attention to detail in glassware and paper umbrellas. I was surprised to know that one of the owners has a extensive history of working in bar industry in my hometown of SanFrancisco. Had a big lunch so some oysters were a good little snack. The only thing that could make this bar more perfect would to have it placed on a beach w/ some torches for the night!
Came here with a friend to enjoy a few drinks on a random night out. I definitely fell in love wit the craft cocktails here. There are very few places that I can get a whiskey sour with egg whites on maui and I love that they have it here. The staff is all really nice. From the owners, to the bartenders and even the cooks. I only tried the cocktails here but I have heard that the ceviche is amazing so I will be back to try that. What I loved most is the music. The music is areally good music of classic hip hop and new school. One of the bartenders even offered to change the playlist to chicago music when she found out we were from there. Highly recommended.
What a great place this is! It is located in the Promenade building facing main street in Wailuku. We've been by here many times and seen their outside patio but haven't had the time to stop. Well Halloween night we had tickets to Iao theater so decided this was the night to check it out and boy were we glad we did. We were able to snag a table for 4 outside. Since we'd all already eaten we just got drinks. You seat yourself and the waitress was quick to bring us water and the drink/food menu. The waitress was quick to take our order and bring us our drinks. Then it was a short walk over to the theater afterwards By the time we left there was a short line of people looking for an outside table. The food looked really good so I know next time we'll try and eat there also.
If you like interestingly crafted cocktails, this place is a must try. Snack food selection is very small (4-5 on the menu) and sold out quickly. We got there just before 6pm and the place is mostly full with a few tables available. After 6pm quickly filled up.
