Da Babooze - Wailuku

I had a fantastic experience! I visited Maui for the first time with some local friends, and the staff and locals made me feel like I've been part of the community for years.

Went to eat a bite and a drink the owners bartending and said everything they had was frozen eating no kitchen, so we had a drink she was very friendly and a pleasure to speak

This was my first visit to this charming little bar, and I loved everything—from the atmosphere to the patrons. However, the highlight was definitely the bartender, who was absolutely fantastic! She was funny and friendly, with such a vibrant personality that it felt like I had known her for years. I'm from Oregon and definitely look the part, but in this place, I almost felt like a local!

The woman and I are definitely locals now, having moved here from North Carolina. We were searching for a place near our new home and decided to stop at the Dabooze Bar on Highway 1. At first, I felt a bit out of place as a non-native; it was clear that many regulars were there. However, right in front of the bartender and several customers, we received a warm welcome and ended up having a great time. We will definitely be back!

Best bar on the island. Been coming here since I landed off the plane 3 years ago. Family oriented and treated like it. Great pool crowd and friendly all the time. :
