We visited Sunday evening for dinner and our whole table was very impressed with their meals. I had the chicken parmi, and it was a very generous size and also great price. Make sure you check out the specials board, they have great prices and don't cut back on the serving size. Can't wait to visit again soon. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sportsmen's Club Hotel:
We had a family event in the restaurant's private function room. It was quite noisy and didn't seem to have much separation from the main dining area. The food was mediocre, mostly deep fried and mass produced. I only discovered the salad bar after finishing my meal. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. View all feedback.
I love this restaurant. I go nearly every week because they have a great salad bar and the meals are always delicious. They also have specials on most nights, and their roast on Sunday is amazing.
This is one of the first places I had a beer in Wagga and it became a local. Good beers that Iiked, good food and friendly owners. The value for food is awesome.
I have been working away from home in Wagga off & on for a few months now, my colleague & i tried this place out last week on a recommendation (from my wife & kids & sister in law, who had been there a couple of months or so earlier), it was a little disappointing, i had a Chicken parmi, to be quite honest it was below average, it was burnt & looked like a train wreck, there was so much Tomato which was bitter & soggy, my colleague had the same, which was forgotten, when his finally arrived it looked great, but was still below par, the staff are friendly, however we won't be going back for a second visit, i really don't like making negative reviews but in this case i feel it is warranted!
My Aunty, who is a local, took me to this pub as soon as I flew in from Brisbane. She had boasted about the great food and she wasn't wrong. No airs 'n graces with the food. You get a plateful. I had the special - crumbed lamb chops and they reminded me of the food my Mum used to cook. The three giant chops were delicious. My aunty had "Bangers n' Mash, three thick sausages (cut in half), a mountain of potatoes and a very generous serving of gravy. Another tick for this pub was the music playing in the background. The volume was just right so a conversation could be had without shouting. The ambience was just like a family bbq, which combined with the great food made for a really enjoyable welcome to Wagga Wagga. I'll be back (and not just for the family) but also for another plate of pub food at the Sportsmen's.
