Between the two of us, we sampled nearly everything except the fries and gravy. Every item we tried was delicious and packed with flavor. The vegetables were perfectly cooked—neither underdone nor overcooked—and everything was pleasantly light, without being too greasy. The egg rolls even contained chunks of meat, which was a nice surprise! The chicken balls and deep-fried shrimp were outstanding, featuring a flavorful batter and an ideal meat-to-batter ratio. Additionally, the ladies' restroom was exceptionally clean, which is always a plus. Overall, I have no complaints and would absolutely dine here again!
Wens serves delicious food and goes the extra mile to offer gluten-free Chinese dishes. Some of their best options include shrimp made with potato starch cooked in fresh oil, unbreaded ginger beef, and curried vegetables. They are also accommodating and will verify sauce ingredients with you if you have any dietary restrictions.
I ordered the dinner for one and swapped the chop suey for extra chicken balls, and I absolutely loved it! Now, it's my go-to choice whenever I'm in the area. This dish is always delicious, served hot, and the pickup is usually quick, which is perfect for when I'm passing through town. I will definitely be back for more, and I highly recommend the dinner for one with the substitution for anyone who loves Chinese food, especially fried rice, shrimp, and chicken balls like I do. Be sure to give it a try—it's reasonably priced too, not expensive at all!
