What Mariasiohnson doesn't like about The White Heron:
Chose this because it was so much cheaper than anything else for a one night stay, £95 instead of £180+. First the positives- spotlessly clean and good location. But...very old school, lots of knotty pine DIY and glossy yacht varnish, admonitory notices eg 'only human waste in the toilets ', breakfast ok but all very pre-packaged, working men 's club carpets, only a 3/4 size double bed. Never stayed there eating in the restaurant I must say that eating disappointed never up there with the best!
Eat brilliant and the seafood hotpot is for dying. very nice and friendly, very welcome would recommend
We found this fantastic hotel after a disaster start t our holiday what a pleasure and a excellent place, Margaret and Paul go above and beyond rooms are immaculate everything you need lovely location parking, breakfast is amazing cooked by Margaret and Paul what a wonderful couple. Rooms are beautiful will 100% recommend this hotel you will not be disappointed and can't wait to return thankyou to you both for making our holiday Jack and Jackie xxx

Family run business. Very late breakfast would be better earlier. Late check in and early check out. Top price.
