The Winery At Sovereign Estate

This large winery in Waconia, MN, offers delicious wines in a gorgeous setting. The food is fun, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They also host live music on certain nights. It's one of our favorite spots to relax and enjoy!

I visited this restaurant on Thursday afternoon while searching for something else. The open space and stunning landscape are quite beautiful. The wine, particularly the Cabernet Sauvignon, was excellent for Minnesota. I will definitely return for another date afternoon with my wife.

A perfect combination: good friends, a Friday night, the soothing voice of Jennifer Grimm, and a glass of La Crescent Isanti (with notes of grapefruit and orange blossom). This venue is great for hosting parties, with space for up to 500 guests, along with a stunning outdoor dining area and private cabanas. If you're looking for a summer date night, settle into one of the Adirondack chairs, feel the grass beneath your toes, and soak in some local music while sipping on regional wines. Beautiful plot and view. I feel that the newly opened restaurant was really the highlight of the winery. We made the wine tasting and did not enjoy the wine from the favorite selection. But the winery itself was very relaxed and beautiful. The wine tastings we brought back at the restaurant were fantastic. 3 1/2 stars for wine and 4 stars for the beautiful landscape.

Very nice find. Relaxing atmosphere, excellent wine, variety of seating options. We brought two bottles of Marquette home. Cab was also very good.
